Open Port 28960 - Online gaming ?

Hi all,

Ok So my online gaming mode (COD4 hyeah was working just fine until this morning until suddenly, servers stopped showing up.

To cut a long story short, the support team (of the game) told me to check if 'port-28960-is-open-or-not'. And they lost me there. How do I go about doing this - opening a port?

And if this is indeed the problem then how come all was working well just hours ago and stopped suddenly. I did no tampering with my modem/router/online stuff that could result in this ...

It would be great if you guys could give me some feedback on this. Thanks.

PS - I got a ZTE ZXDSL 531B router (Dataone Broadband)

That requires you to install a software on your PC.
A better way would be to use uTorrent's in-built port checking page. I am not sure where exactly it is located in the software.
You could also try here but this web based test might give wrong results.
