opendns on mtnl triband

i recently got mtnl triband at home.
wanted to know if people here with the same connection are using opendns. if so then what exactly are the benefits of it over mtnl dns servers.

also if anyone can help me out, how do i go about using opendns with mtnl, should i just enter the dns servers on my computer or should i change them on the modem. i do not have a static ip, would that make any difference?
lastly what changes/settings do i need to to in the the opendns dashboard.

p.s - i am using the free version, is it worth to buy the software, are there any particular advantages that i would notice if i buy.

You do not need OpenDNS, MTNL servers are better than the OpenDNS ones, you can try pinging the servers and see the response time and figure out yourself, OpenDNS paid is for big companies not single user, even if you do use it the free version should suffice, and you just need to change your DNS servers, there is no other setting involved
