Opera v8.01 has been officially released today for all desktop operating systems (Windows,Mac and Linux).This is a higly recomended update for security purposes.
Secunia has released 3 security advisories for Opera v8 and all of them are fixed in this version.

Opera has introduced a new feature called Userjavascript.This is aimed at tackling pages like hotmail and msdn.microsoft.com which purposely send bad code to Opera.It also automatically fixes incompatible Web pages and out of date scripts.This file would be autometically updated by Opera every week.However this feature isnt enabled by default as it needs more testing. It may be enabled by useing the setting Browser JavaScript=1 in the [User Prefs] section of opera6.ini.
