On second thought buy a slim usb writer. Its not that expensive and will definitely help in the long run.
PS: A tip, Samsung netbooks are bundled with samsung slim dvdr (free offer was there in month of Feb march), which costs about 2100/-. Visit NP, and go to any showroom on ground/first floor selling netbooks. strike a deal with any of the them. You see, some of the buyer get a discount when they not take the slim writer. So you can convince any sales guy for left out slim dvdr.
