Laptops opinion: Compaq Presario C506 TU

Hi,

Could you give ur opinion on - Model: Compaq Presario C506 TU.

at computerwarewarehousepricelist.com the price is 26990/-.

Any idea how much will it cost now with upgrades like DVD writer & winxp.

Or can I install the OS on my own like we do it on a desktop.

no use getting that cel M proccy IMO....

better get the turion single core for arnd 31-32 K models are 3155AU and 3228AU....both of em are same....ditto

comes with DVD Writer...6150 Onboard Gfx (better then that crap GMA 950), 512MB RAM and 80 gig HDD

c506 with all these upgrades would cost the same and IMO still not be as good as the turion model

any idea where in Delhi can I get a demo of it. And the specs & price that you have quoted, is it correct? I mean all these will be available for 32 K ???

My usage is very limited - some office work, music & DVD movie viewing/writing. thats it.

taxes 4% extra.
never buy refurbished ones. new ones are always better even if they are little expensive.
