Optimus2x ICS - Finally Here!

Well as most of the Optimus 2x users would have found out, the tool will not allow you to update, instead pops up a message to call Customer Service.
So, i went to LG Service Center and the technician said to wait for 15 min , and promised ICS at nominal cost of 112/- Rs. Only to come back after 30 min to say phone got bricked in the middle of update. But promised to get it up and running and mentioned the phone would need a mobo replacement and it would take a couple of days.
Finally got the phone delivered after 4 days, with ICS . Didn't charge me anything extra.

hate LG as far as updates are concerned:crazy:. yeah..updated my cousin's O2x with LG tool and worked quite fine though i kept hoping throughout the process not to get freezed up:scared14:. It was on ages old froyo and lagged like hell, got corrupted so many times. first it updates to gingerbread then an option comes up to upgrade to ICS.
the phone itself has become very responsive and faster & fluid UI than it was and nothing gets better than it. with the update, it still after 2 yrs easily stands way better in 15-20k range outperforming many of the present mobiles in performance:bigok:. will upload the benchmark results as soon as i get in touch with it.

Here are the benchmarks with ICS on O2x. Sorry i dont have the gingerbread or froyo benchs to compare with but i did remember nenamark2 on froyo

Nenamark 2-- now this used to be around 30 on froyo. with ICS its a whopping 44.1

Nenamark 2 was the one i remembered and that shows a drastic performance improvement in ICS from froyo. The new UI has become very smooth and fluid than the very laggy froyo and
looks fresh. It easily takes on the likes of Xperia U,sola and anything around the 15k range.
