Forum Feedback Option to Delete Post

Apologies if this has been answered before, but why don't we have this option on this forum?

If I post a reply by mistake and want the post removed, shouldn't I be able to do that on my own?

Report the post, mod should be able to do it.. 2 steps but that's how it is at the moment..

I guess its prone to misuse, so intentionally disabled - atleast among larger sized forums.

Preferable not to do that, since occasionally mods do not check a thread and may miss it.
