Lot of people here are saying that shipping via yanwen doesn't attract customs but it's upto you

No one can tell, but the maximum customs cost can be half the total cost of your product, but the twist is, depending upon the custom officer, if he think that the actual value of item is more than what you have paid or listed, he will use his own imaginary value that he sees fit and then the maximum customs can be half of that.
This is the worst case scenario.

Yeah 1450 per kg and min weight is 1kg so even if you order something like 400g you have to pay for 1kg price
not really, its fixed price, if you 40k item is under 1kg of weight, its still only 1600, sounds more than fair to me

That's fair too but I wouldn't order something so expensive from such a small company. If there's any issues I'll be stuck with no where to go. Sites like Ebay have buyer protection.
meh, delivo is just a freight forwarder, you can order from anywhere, amazon us for e.g.

To be fair they haven't lost anyones parcel so far. Usually I just order directly from taobao or via a seller's whatsapp with alipay and for the most part, chinese couriers never mess up a delivery as long as the address is correct. Once the parcel is delivered at their warehouse, liability falls on them.
Same goes for their other warehouses too. Albeit I haven't had much of anything to order from the US as it seems half of the items being sold there are dropshipped items from china

How much customs/extra you paid & whether it was paid upfront or need to pay at the time of delivery?

Not yet. It's been 18days and it departed (my guess) China a day or two ago. Going crazy slow after they asked multiple times for Aadhaar card. First on their site then via WhatsApp and email. Whole thing is very drawn out. What I ordered wasn't urgent so it's fine. But I don't expect it for another week atleast. So you could say it's taking Yanwen about a month to deliver.

Also ordered something from sunsky with yanwen as they suggested, have been 12 days and I think it's not even in India yet. Don't really understand what their tracking says. Hopefully no custom charges.

Did they ask for docs? Dont send them masked aadhar. Customs doesnt accept Masked aadhar, which is so stupid.
