i was looking for good deal from last two days n i was hasitating to purchase due to warranty issues but today i saw this n then i purchased it eyes closed :):ohyeah:

its 3 year manufacture warranty

Nope its one year dealer warranty. Mentioned twice in the listing.

Anyways the camera itself is one of if not the best at this price point. :D
 
^ Not with the dealer's warranty I suppose? Smartshoppers.in was selling it for 15750 a few days back and many a members reported getting it for a sub-15k price from the grey market. I don't know what's it gonna be for the purchase of the camera for the OP because the warranty part was modified after he ordered the camera and received it. Let's wait for the OP to respond and shed some light.

Actually I myself got the cam+8gb+carry case for 17k from palika, but if these things were available at 17.5 with shipping included, I would have opted for that.. I know I'm not good at bargaining.... :ashamed:
 
But the point of contention here is the warranty. No one has got full 3 years manufacturers warranty at grey market prices. Even this deal listing says 1 years dealers warranty. Anyhow the price point is good enough as I got my piece at almost 4k extra.
 
OT but I need help confused between Lumix FZ35 and Nikon P100. I am more inclined towards Nikon due to its tilt screen, 26X zoom and 1080p recording. Can any camera guru help me in choosing between the two?

talked to the seller today and he is saying that there is 1 year SELLER WARRANTY ON IT and not the manufacturer warranty and he was apologizing
for the mistake n now he is giving me 3 year seller warranty :huh:
 
Dude the deal is still the best you can get so go with it.

As far as the warranty goes, everyone who has bought the camera in the recent past, including me, has got one year dealer's warranty. They will try to repair the piece if ever it develops any problems but I don't think the dealer ever replaces the item.

In fact you are still getting a better deal as he is offering you 3 years warranty period instead of the usual one year.

In a different vein, you should tell the seller to change the words in his listing so as not to confuse any prospective buyers. People should know what they are getting for what they are paying.
