You can say that but you should know that you can't compare the two as steam is almost 10 year old established client with a largest gaming community in the world.
Origin is introduced in 2011 and it has just gone through its beta phase development.

Comparing Steam to Origin is like comparing Android or iOS with WP8
 
These games can be played as a single player? Asking because of the debate of steam and Origin.
If I buy today can I download later after few days. Looking forward to buy NFS and Fifa
 
Got myself crysis 2. Don't know about Dragon age 2. I remember playing the demo and really hating the combat.
Now, if only they could offer some decent discounts on the bf3 dlcs; guess that's going to happen only after the final one.
 
Sorry, i'm a bit of a noob with legally buying games, so can someone please tell me if this only works for downloading or is there any option to get physical discs? My current internet connection is bsnl 2g so no chance of downloading multiple gigs.

Yes you have 30 days to start the download after the purchase, these are full blown games with single player campaign as well.

No physical disks, you will directly download from the EA servers.

What happens if you dont donwload in 30 days? I think origin works like steam. once you buy the game, its listed in your account and all you have to do in download and install.

You have 30 days to download and activate the game on origin ,post that i don't know what will happen. Yo can Google though :)

This is a stupid EA policy.

Err, no matter how cheap, what happens if my hdd dies or something after a month? Money lost? Is there some way to archive the download after the first download?

Oh well, back to tpb...
 
Julian : Once you activate the game in your library it will be there for a lifetime, your money will be safe and you can re-download any number of times.

I guess you are not a multiplayer fan :bleh:

there are lots of backup methods try to google "backup origin games" usually you need to copy whole game folder from c:/program files/origin games/ to portable HDD i did same thing with BF 3 i brought few months ago and tested backup method is worked for me :)

anyway offer really tempting :) wish i could buy i am not happy with download speed with origin which is very slow compare to steam :(
