ORKUT blocked in maharashtra or by some ISP's ?

Turns out D-Company is recruting through orkut (mid-day article), its still down at my place , down 3 buildings it's running. Funny.

They pulled the plug at the right moment , just when i was about to collect the contact details of some people who i have never met & will be flying with them.:(
 
ok the thing...is the sify technician ..says that ORKUT is not blocked..by SIFY ppl but some poloticians..and he cant help it..

but i am using through proxy servers and its working..

and yeah phoenix..listen about the torrents thing..u can fix it..up just complain to the highest authority..@ this place http://customercare.sify.com/contact.htm

and within.. 1 day the technician came to my house..and released a few ports..so tht toreents work..

but he said he cant do anything about dc ++ as its illegal according to them..!!

but yeah torrents..they will fix it up if u tell them..also all ports will be unblocked shortly..cauz the technician told tht customers are sitting on their head..and they will have to fic up everything..as its vr8ting probs.
 
Well.....if they think this is cr8ing problems , then they just ought to wait a week or 2 before they try nd rectify things ......cuz then .....sify'll find 50% of the Navi Mumbai Users out o' their Renew List ......... and i'm not joking.....lots of people are already thinkin of shuttin off sify nd takin up other ISP's ..........

hey faheem , try the dns add 4.2.2.2 , nd no need of proxies for orkut.....lol
 
Dumb asses think blocking one website is gonna solve problems of India!!!!

And as for recruiting memebers for the D-gang....Why would anyone post details of the recruiting of D-gang members on a public site like orkut....It must be a prank....

OT: Sify is a bad ISP and thats that......Go to some other ISP if u have a choice.....
 
lol...when u can run pirated windows even after wga..there is no question u cant access orkut...if it happens the evil minds will start working...so far proxy best option......

hmm ya even i think this will be the last month of sify if DC ++ dsnt start..and so are most of my frnds discoonecting..

anyways ..looks like my posts getting OT..

so where do i add the above, dns server address u ve given in the primary or secondry dns server ???
 
I use Sify Broadband too....and orkut's workin fine as of now !!! It'd be absolutely unethical of them to block a community website such as orkut (or banning any website for that matter :no:) !
 
i think if they are planning to block it then it must be on temporary basis as happened with blogspot, as far as i know in maharashtra politics is really all bout not allowing people to have their way, they don't allow india pakistan cricket matches and all ( won't go into all that ) . but if the blocking is permanent then it would be really sad to have happened. but as nvidiabeast said if they were thinking of blocking orkut then they should have blocked porn sites already which isn't the case
 
all this is politics...........do they think Anti-India communities r the only ones there ?????? O.K , yeah its bad ....... but u cant go around blockin everythin ???? Block the communities........ but wat they r doin is wat the mass public doesnt like
