so far .............

Best Actor in a Supporting Role goes to Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds)

Best Original Song: Crazy Heart ('The Weary Kind (Theme from Crazy Heart)' Music and Lyrics by Ryan Bingham and T Bone Burnett)

Best Animated Film: Up (Pete Docter)

loved the sets , loved the music and the title effects and best of all loved the fact that Hurt locker walked all over avatar :D

WTF is wrong with these Oscar people? :|

Anyways, I don't feel Hurt Locker deserves so much. It was a great movie, but I feel Inglorious Basterds was better.

I thought Ingloriuos basterds will get much more credits than hurt locker. And btw what happened to "Shutter Island"?

Its this Year's ( Feb 19th) movie so it'll compete at the 83rd Academy Awards

So Sandra Bullock now has the (in)famous distinction of getting a Razzie and an Oscar in the same year.

I slept off when I was watching Hurt Locker. Twice.. *ashamed*
Such is the bane of watching movies on a PC. Don't watch a movie in a single sitting, especially movies like Hurt Locker.
Take a half-hour break in between, cinema halls have been doing it right all along :).

I think most people would fall asleep if they tried to watch Hurt Locker and Inglourious Basterds in a single sitting. But take a break and you will appreciate them much much more.

I personally wanted Inglourious Basterds to win because I am a sucker for QT conversation scenes and this one had some of the best he has ever done (right up there with the diner scene in Reservoir Dogs and the grand finale of Kill Bill Vol. 2).

Well said. I even got the HD version to avoid the same. But, I couldn't help it :ashamed:

Going to pick up a big-ass TV soon. Going to watch it again on that.

PS: Inglorious Basterds conversation scenes were the best!

I watched the first 10 minutes of Inglorious Basterds and dozed off - but then again, I was on a plane and hadn't slept for over 20hours.

Oh, and suck it, Avatar!
