Wanna test Mac now :P Have tested many OS in my system but never tried mac.

So what should I download ?:S I heard mac didn't favor AMD based :S What pathetic system is this ? I heard there is architecture limitations but why brand ?

Anyway how can I get a Mac system for my Phenom II + 790GX setup ?

Please let me know the prerequisites.

Regards

hope it does... anyways... you can try luck with either x2 or X3 or X4 :P

try all combination... even single core :P

im assuming it should work since most chips from previous gen worked... (that is.. most from athlon X2 worked.. so i suppose this shall work too as pII X4 is workin)

Go to insanely mac and check if your hardware is supported..Generally CPU, most of them are supported..

GEt the iPC build if it shows support for your cpu and motherboard..

DS...

in those list.. several 790G/sb750 boards were tested OK with p II ..(most of them required 3rd party drivers though..

so your setup shouldn't have much issues to deal with imo.

iDeneb 10.5.6 and iPCOS seem to be better when it comes to amd. And you IGP will not be supported AFAIK. You might be stuck at a lower resolution like 1024x768.

Just tell me which one to download and I'll give it a try :P
Try the latest ones.. Either iDeneb 10.5.7 or iAtkos v7 10.5.7..
These are newer than iPC 10.5.6, so they might have newer kexts/fixes/patches/drivers, etc.. :)

Windows 98 doesn't run on my mobile. And it has enough juice to run Windows 98, yet it simply doesn't run. Is something wrong? :D

Mac OS is not "meant" to be installed by anyone with off-the-shelf PCs, whether based on Intel or AMD. Mac OS X comes with a Macintosh computer manufactured by Apple.

By default, it wouldn't even agree to install on a PC.

They have exclusive rights to the OS and its a violation of the DMCA to be running Mac OS on anything other an Apple labeled machine.

Since Apple computers currently come only with Intel processors, getting it done on an AMD system wasnt possible earlier, because the OS relied on Intel-only instructions, SSE, etc. But few patches and a whole new 'kernel' later, hackers made it possible to be installed on AMD systems.

However, just keep an expectation for things to break down. Since its a hacked release and not guaranteed to run on your PC. I mean, the experience is no way as stable as it is on a Mac. So don't blame Mac OS for problems which your hardware is the cause of.

 Windows 98 or any Windows is not optimized to run on Mobile. and if you don't understand here we are talking about PC's not something out of this world.

I know how conservative and restrictive apple is with its products, thats why I don't like to own it despite i have few of them though :P

edit : @zhoups : you using it too ? How good tough is the installation :P .. Will try that in Xen then ;)

I did download a couple of setups, but on reading that hd3200 isn't supported, I figured it wasn't worth the hassle :P

Ya, You can Install MAC OS X on AMD System.... :)

I Have Done it on Two AMD Systems.... :) One was Kalway 10.5.2 and Other 10.5.6 iPC...
