Overburning help

im using verbatim dvd+r mcc04 16x media and samsung sh-223f drive. i have a single file which exceeds the maximum capacity by just a few kbs. :(

now i believe since these are good quality media and i need only a few more kbs, it is possible to overburn. but i tried burning 2 dvds at 16x and got coasters.

im using nero 9 and have enabled overburn in settings. also my drive already has the latest firmware. should i try burning at 8x? or is there anything else? i dont want any more coasters.
 
overburn result depends on drive n dvd .personally i wont recommend OB as for few reason:

1.OB dvds wont last long as the data burns on edge (lead out area)
2.If u want to use it for dvd players some wont support the OB dics if i am not wrong

In ur case as u allready lost 2 dvds its not worth trying it even in slower speeds.
