ok guys heres the thing i unlock my 6950 to 6970:)

then i oc it well everything was fine till gpu 850mhz and memory 1325 max temp 73

now when i try to oc further my ups starts acting strange it starts giving a loud beeping noise my ups is apc es500

can someone please tell me is this the oc limit or my ups is faulty

Well, maybe ur PSU is sucking more juice than the UPS is able to provide. What's ur PSU rating and brand?

And UPS VA 500? That's low buddy, I think you should have a 650VA for such a hugh end configuration.

^ I am not sure, if an UPS limits OC capacity of a PC component. But you PSU can definitely limit the OC capacity.

What PSU are you using?

^^ what if there is no UPS ?? What i meant is that their is no direct limit of the UPS.

Then just remove the ups from previous statement :P

well OC = 1. more power sucked from PSU = 2. more power sucked from UPS = 3. more power sucked from AC mains.

You can be limited either at 1 or 2. If ups is removed then you're oc is limited by psu.

Ofcourse if the psu and ups are of higher ratings then that situation won't arise. OP is using a corsair tx 650. hence he has ample amount of juice to feed the gpu's from the psu. What UPS are you using OP?

^^ thanks for explaining it over WingZero, I meant exactly the same..

In this case it's the UPS which is limiting, or so I believe. Can't give a final statement till I know the PSU.

Inside the UPS AC is Converted to DC and feed to battery, power from this battery is then converted back to AC hence the POWER unit VA, you can connect directly to mains, or get a higher rating UPS.
