Why do u want to overclock?:S Its already running at speeds close to3ghz...Also it will ruin the chip if there is no proper cooling...
Try using s/w setfsb...Use at your own risk...

Overclock for a socket 478 P4= Big NONO. Your temperatures will go too high and may cause heating problems and crashes .

Use clockgen, I had my P4 506 2.66 @ 3.8~ on Intel genuine mobo, D101GGC :P

I dont think it would be on a stock cooler.. At 3.8GHz it would probably melt the stock cooler    ...

Some people say that mobo might go kaput if you try to overclock on intel mobo?

Also stock cooler?Any difference u saw in performance?

It was on stock cooler w/ CM thermal paste, actually I had S775 CPU, P4 506 and PD 2.66 r awesome OCers, 20 Multi.

Differance was visible, LOL that time I used to play EA Cricket 2005, buggiest version.

Never had problem with my Nortwood , I used to bump its speed from 2.8ghz to 3.4 , no issue :)

But OC'in P4 won't make much difference :)
