I have a Core 2 Quad Q6600 on my Intel DG33FB board currently, and want to upgrade to an overclocking motherboard.

Requirements are :
  • P45 chipset based
  • LGA 775 slot
  • Atleast 2 PCIe 2.0/2.1 x16 slots
  • Support for DDR2 RAM upto 1066 MHz
  • eSATA slot - preferable
  • SATA 6Gbps - preferable
  • UEFI - preferable
  • Overclocking for FSB, Memory timings, and as many other features for tweaking as possible.
Anybody.... Anybody?? :)

@axis.meister, abit ip35-E is good, if you can try to get the pro version of that mobo. Thats the best in their series.

Does this support PCIe 2.0? I thought P35 supported only uptil PCIe 1.1 .... ?

I think it is PCIe 1.1, I am not sure if P45 supports PCIe 2.0 either, but you can check that.

Also there is a P45 board on sale in the market right now but the seller prefers to sell it along with the CPU + RAM. Talk to him, maybe he will agree to sell only the Mobo.

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative, and IP-35e suits your need, PM me.
