P2P or DDL sites ?

Just checked ddl2 and movie Radio , and lol, its a CtrlHD encode , these are encoders for hdbits , again p2p :)

Now, u will have to spend 10USD for a month's premium acct, is it ?

Exactly The Way i would Have wanted to Put It Mate

I Have a 2:1 creative and a 22 Inch Benq...All 300mbUnited and bob Rips look & Sound Great in them

Thing Is These Days In terms Of Movie Releases Scene Just sucks There is Just no Point in Downloading a 4.3 GB Rip When almost 80% of the quality can be found in a 1 GB Rip

Only In Terms Of music,I Still Stick to Scene Coz I Loooove Lame VBR and Hate 320 KBPs CBR (Although itunes+ Releases are quite promising)

Private Trackers are plain BullSh*T,after Much effort I Managed to get an account On TL,BTM & PTN Only to find that there is Nothing I Haven't Seen Before.Rare Sh*t My A$$ :@

On the Other Hand RuT,Is Simply a pleasure.Till today All The query I Made Had returned with a well Seeded Torrent :)

There is Simply Nothing to top The Russian Sites,DDL/Bittorrent In terms Of Content (In Various Formats) and Downloader (read Leecher :P) satisfaction
 
For a 22" screen, any file would play just fine.lol. even 480p or 576p would run smooth on those small sized PC screens, u dont need the 720p encodes to enjoy movies. On the other hand, 720p/1080p group encodes rather be watched on bigger size HDTV, anyways, most P2P encodes end up in file sharing sites with rarred passwords and shit.

Rarity on trackers is a misnomer. Nothings rare, if u really want it, u better go get it. Most members dont research better,ask around about the site and just make an account 'coz other douchebags are making one. lol. These are called mis-informed collectors who make no use of the accounts.

A couple of weeks, met a guy on irc who had 50+ tracker accounts. i was :rofl:

Some one else could have had their spot :P

anyhoo, glad RuT is loved by file sharing guys too :)
 
As you yourself said if you research better you would find many links which might question your inclination towards torrents.
I too preferred downloading from torrents earlier but when i searched a little harder i found that many copies of those files are easily available off any free file hosts.
So its just a question of being in the right place at the right time :P
 
lol, man, on the contrary earlier i used to hunt for links on various ddl forums, hehe. Links which were either dead or were something else :P

and then there were the pingouts making me re-download the file and the lovely wait times, rapidshare has comeup with a term "anti-waiting" company , that is all bullsh!t, Oh yes, i could not surf the net while dwnld is in progress.

And then i shifted to torrents and i never looked back, no waiting, no loss of files, indexing and niche trackers for specific content eg: music-vids and what-music, u must be aware of what and the various formats it offers of each file :)

All My Downloads have resumable Hosts :) So no data loss and I CAN Surf Very Well While Downloading.

i am hunting for an HDTV and i am carrying those files in my pen drive for a test demo.

Played those files on a samsung ,LG and sony 40 inch LCD and LEDS.

And have found nothing major breakthrough in the viewing experience .

Or was it missing any details .

I am comparing those video quality with their proprietory demo videos.

So apart from the dolby sound i do not think i am missing anything :S

You get Sceneaxx from topsites and not file sharing hosts such as rs,wupload and mediafire, unless u get ur sceneaxx from these commercial file sharing sites. lol, that group sure lacks contacts.

You still dont get it , do you ? INDEXING <-- get it, its all about the choices you have. There is no group ripping in flacs. It is the regular members who make these available as ogg/v0 vbr/etc etc. Never had a DDL site giving options all together at one page !!

I always wondered that lol, I think they play 1080p videos over and over again and people buy the TV basis those videos. Rather, I always ask for local cable channel b4 deciding quality of screen. We still dont have a HD cable for this unless, u own a tata or airtel HD box and not all channels are available in HD yet. Is the price same for the HD channels and the regular ones ?

a 1.3 gig is a nice size for a 720p vid, but it will have 2.1 audio. What size were those 720ps ?
 
The 720p rips were of 500mb and the 1080p rip was of inception which is more than 2.5 hours in duration and the filesize was 1.3GB.
Along with that played some youtube 720p and their same 1080p music videos.

nice. but, what were u looking for ? did u compare the screens on the basis of how the vid played acroos the TVs ?
 
All had integrated playback capabilities from the usb.
I was looking for picture smoothness, backlight bleed the depth of black levels and a possibility of halo effect which i observed in one of the sony tvs.
 
Should mention here , 720p does not translate to a resolution of xxxx x 720 ... Film is shot at Aspect Ratio of 2.4:1 , but after adding the black bands on top and bottom , it comes to 1.78:1 [ 16:9 ] , so a rip having resolution 1280x536 is correctly 720p , no error there.

About mHD and HD rips , both have their respective pros and cons ... i prefer the 2.2 GB rips , but settle for mHD for older stuff , and for my favourite ones , Full 1080p.

Last I heard, Topsites are completly different than the DDL/commercial file sharing sites and axx as mentioned is very much limited to small group(s) :)
