Please help me!
I have 2 HDD.
One Seagate 7200.12 500GB and other Seagate 7200.10 250GB.
Got 4GB total physical memory.
Installed Windows 7 32Bit on 500GB.
Now I'm totally confused about page.
I want best performance.
So,where(which physical HDD) should I set page file and how much ?
Generally I use 6GB total page file.
But,should I use both or one HDD for page file ?
OS HDD or the other HDD ?.....

for best performance disable paging on the 500gb disk and enable paging on the 250gb disk.

set the page file to 1.5 - 2 times the size of your ram. (ie 6-8gb in your case)

Thanks for ur replies!

Totally disable page file from boot drive and set to other physical drive ?

Then total page file 1024x4x6=6144MB would be enough.

yep you've got it..

as for paging file size set the min to 6144 (1024 * 4gb * 1.5) and the max to 8192 (1024 * 4 gb * 2).

let us know how it turns out

No,its working without any problem but I'm facing a strange kind of problem related to to high cpu after install new OS Windows 7.
And its manly affecting the audio.
I think I should go back to XP again.
May be my old Intel E2180 is not enough for Windows 7.....:(

your Intel E2180 is enough to run windows 7 ..

dont worry , leave your computer on for sometime until the process finishes , it happens in my system also and goes away in 20-25 secs ..
those are some background processes and are necessary , but do they occur more frequently and if yes then how much ??

one more thing is that if you use hibernation you will find these services to run more quite often ..

however sometimes viruses also camouflage itself as svchost , and more generally malware and keyloggers ..
so get malwarebytes anti malware and do a scan if your antivirus found nothing ..

also for paging , 6 gb is enough , even 4 gb will do the job ..
even you can disable it as you have 4gb of ram ..but i recommend it enabling ..

I could not find the exact reason.

Scanned with my Free Avast.

It's mainly occurring when I play any audio(WMP 0r MPC) or when I playing game.

After few seconds like 60 sec of cycle sound got stuck and cpu goes high both when playing game or any mp3/audio.

I gonna try Spybot or Malwarebyte.

If problem not solved gonna have to install Windows again.....:(

also try to check if the CPU usage is still high on safe mode also...next check in safe mode is the svchost is still active also try running the windows without internet .. svchost is majorly listed to connect to internet

Scan with Malwarebyte but nothing found.
This is happening only with audio.
And now I have found one more strange thing that the video(any movie, anime or music video etc and any format)) running fine on MPC and no problem with its audio.....:S
Then why only audio file and game audio getting stuck after few time of interval.....:Comp3:

defragment the hard disk .. then see otherwise time to reinstall windows :(

ensure that un necessary services are disabled from services console.

i.e., go to services.msc and disable service which may not be relevant to you.

disable un necessary visual effects, etc.
