Yeah.. Obivously.. Its a forum!.. mostly we discuss things here.. Members rarely posts about only latest releases news for getting linkbacks.. Everything happens in this field..

So coz of lack of link backs TE has PR 0.. But for us, it is important that it is India's No. 1 Forum
 
Forums can have a high page rank.. I know one with PR6 .. even temp-bhp forum has a 3 .. but PR of 0 beats me..
 
Hmm.. I know the forums which have rankings over 5-6 even 7

But... Those Forums to Linking their links to other forums or Blogs which have higher PR..

Link exchange between Good PR <--> High PR = Both get High PR

Link exchange between Higher PR <--> Higher PR = Both PR increase

The inside story is, they just want to high there PR, actually, they sell links on high PR sites...

And TE don't need such publicity.. It already have that.. PR doesn't matter.. Let it go ahead! :D
 
Hmm, if I'm not mistaken, TE used to have a PR of 5 a while back, that's why they have those sponsored links at the footer.
 
:P But my blog has a page rank of 4 :S Even I had stopped posting .. Haven't posted from a month . planing to make a Drupal based blog :P

TE URL strructure has changed in the past month causing the old indexes to be lost.

Apart from that there was a bug in the portal which led to redirection errors leading to cancellation of pr.

And google has changed its pr rankings significantly now. We will regain our pagerank in due time. As it is i would look at traffic and content rather than pr.

PR is imp for guys who wanna earn money from there sites or blogs.. And they can do whatever they want for getting PRs.. As i know, TE has huge traffic from India and i hope, we will get PR soon. But as for now, PR is not necessary for TE.
 
probably because TE doesnt have any linkbacks from PR sites, its very easy to gain pagerank by getting some good linkbacks...

Though trust me TE doesn't need any PR...they have enuff pages indexed into google..and the way VbSEO is working ..its amazing !

Although TE should promote Social Bookmarking and Networking to increase its networth.
