Paisapay failed but money transaction done :(

I wanted to buy some lens for my DSLR Camera

I added two items to my cart -

eBay India: New Canon EF 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Lens (2 yrs Warrenty) (item 170620834886 end time 26-Apr-2011 15:39:17 IST)

eBay India: Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Digital SLR Lens +2YR CANON WRTY (item 170624235268 end time 04-May-2011 11:06:44 IST)

The total cost was - Rs.16,649.00

I selected PaisaPay, Pay using ICICI Bank Transfer.

I logged in to my ICICI account, entered transaction password and entered ATM card albhabet security numbers too.

I completed the payment form.

Now eBay said, Transaction successful, please wait.

After some time page refreshed and instead of generating PaisaPay order id, I got this page -

The PaisaPay payment system cannot be accessed due to one or more of the following reasons:

• The page might be temporarily unavailable - please try again later.

• The page has timed out,because you exceeded the time allowed for this step - please try once again.

• Your browser does not allow or support JavaScript - check your browser for JavaScript settings and capabilities.

The items are still in my cart but my bank balance has been deducted.

Now, what is the procedure to get my money back or items that I've purchased? I haven't got any paisapay receipt. The items are still in card and that means they are not successfully purchased yet.
 
same thing just happened to me i was trying to buy wd 1 tb hdd green,It seems server issue to me.i have already sent them amail.

I am using Firefox 4.0. I am worried about getting my money back. I sent email to Customer support. I am also waiting for answer.

Now to question is, will I get my money or items that I have purchased?
 
when you speak to the CC, please do not be formal, they delay a big time, same thing happened to me some time back & i had to wait 3 months, not happens usually but they delay it of we are too formal, just take them left & right & threaten with all the legalities as much as you can, because same thing happened to me when i purchased a product the next time & the money got deducted from my account & the seller sent the product to me & as soon as i marked product received, the sellers paisapay account go banned, some 21 days the seller had to battle it out with the CC people, finally he sent notice for damages + interest for the days ebay had kept the money, finally he received it, now he is treated with respect.

this may not happen to you, just shared the experience, seems eBay is going through tough times, seems soon enough they gonna wrap from India, partially we are to blame though.
 
I guess you need to reinitialize the purchase process.. and also get in touch with your bank about the reversal.
 
^ How can bank reverse my payment? eBay should send me my money back or approve the order I've given to them. I will talk to CC straight forward. Thanks for the tip raul.
 
Contact your bank. They should be able to give you a transaction id. Then check with ebay if they have received the said amount. If they haven't, the money will automatically be refunded to your a/c in 3 to 4 days time. Getting ebay to confirm whether they have or have not received the funds will be the tricky part.

No harm in checking once. SBI for one, makes available the transaction ID through net-banking as well as SMS.

Dont worry, it happend to me too some time back. Just to go the icici site and click "Bill Pay" Then click "Show Payments Made"

Get the details and then shoot a mail to ebay cc. you will get the money back within a week. Dont worry at all...

I think the transaction id is mentioned in the mini statement. it shows up as some number next to the amount that got deducted.

It shows in this format along with partial paisapay id also:

BIL/12 digit number/transaction comment/paisapay id (partially) ---- DR --- INR 1111.00

The 12 digit number is most probably the transaction id/ reference number.
 
I also faced a similar problem while I dealt with flipkart and BSNL once. I contact flipkart customer care and they said that whatever I paid them,it will be generated in their bank portal exactly after 24hrs and then they can say about my payment.At first I was worried of being cheated by them,but later they send me an email conforming my payment.And in case of BSNL they used to have some backup portals,through which they can conform the payment if someone faces such errors.Since you have dealt with ebay this shouldn't be a matter of being worried.I think you should contact ebay customer care,and they will surely solve your issue.As from my experience,I have sold 2-3 things on ebay and each time my item was bought,I got the amount deposited on my account after 1 week which means they got the money first and then they process it to your bank.So your money is with ebay not with the seller.

Thanks for all the information.

Now I have the transaction ID. I will contact eBay customer care tomorrow and will tell them a situation. I will not be too formal or kind. I will just force them to return the money or give me the items that I wanted to purchase.

I hope the thing will be resolved soon.

update -

Called eBay phone support today. I told *her* :D everything happened. She took transaction ID, my username, the amount and payment method. She assured me, if the money is transferred to ebay's account, it will be reverted back to my account in 72 hours. If it is not, then they will contact me about it.

Btw, I just got call from ICICI Hyderabad about yesterday's transaction. They asked me whether I've done that transaction or not.
 
eBay will return back your payment as your payment has been done by the bank transaction is done whether it's a server loss from back or the payment gateway the Amt would be refunded to your account it fails
 
^ Yesterday, I got a call from eBay that they are unable to trace my payment transferred in their account. So they are reversing payment back to my account. It will take some 3-4 working days. :)
