Youtube and about 20k other websites have been blocked in Pakistan for hosting objectionable material like footage from the anti-Islam movie "Innocence of Muslims" .
"We have blocked 20,000 objectionable websites and blogs since the blasphemous film
surfaced on the Internet," an official of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority told PTI.
"We are strictly following the court's orders in this regard," said the official .
The anti-Islam film has faced a lot of violent protests and led to many injuries and deaths of more than 50 people .
The ban on YouTube is not expected to be lifted soon and internet users are facing problems because the ban has made many other websites operated by Google inaccessible .
