and yes it works with all CDMA service providers in India
 
No shop will register MEID. You need to contact someone who has good contacts with Reliance. Please check your PM for more details.
 
It is also available in GSM version but is expensive when compared to this CDMA version, so people who dont want to switch to CDMA can go for GSM palm pixi plus.
 
Planning to buy a cdma mobile for mom and dad. How is this mobile from VFM perspective?

I read up on the net saying that unlocking and registering the MEID costs about 2.5k.... Any idea about that?

If I order from the GEB link I posted, what more would I have to do to get it working on Reliance CDMA?
 
It is most VFM. better than sub 3-4K mobile for sure. I have been using Pixi Plus since 2 months and Multi tasking is breeze. 8 Gigs onboard, Wi-Fi, webOS, Nice Capacitive Touchscreen with Full qwerty(Ok i know keys are small but i am used it now can type as fast as my BB.). What more you can ask in 3K phone ? :D

Yes,you can make it work for Tata,although the charges for Activation is much costlier than Reliance.

MEID registration for Reliance can be done for Rs.1000-Rs1500.

Instead of getting into the headache of MEID registration why dont you go for GSM version, after paying for MEID registration there wont be much price difference between the two.
 
@Soyab0007 please clear your inbox Yes the number will be transferred from ure card to palm pixi and the card will be useless.
