PAN card app. doubt

While filling the online application, how do I get to know which Area Code AO Type Range Code AO Number to fill?
I searched the city but under that there are 15 options with absolutely no description only Ward I or II, circle I or II.

Go to the department and ask the officer who accepts any of the returns. Circles and wards are different and are divided on basis of amount of income, type of income etc.

It is very difficult to find it out online. What you can do is get a PAN no. of your family member who has similar income as you. If you're a govt employee, then he/she should be too, else not.
