Android Pantech burst upgrade to jb help required

Want to upgrade my phone to jellybean. Cm10 or any other.
On xda page they have mentioned to install stock ics else we might get issues.
Currently, I have installed devpmers (hope I got his id right) deodexed rom.
Can I install cm10 from this version directly? Or should I downgrade to gingerbread first, then install stock ics using pantech tool, then unroot it ? Seems like lot of trouble.

Install CWM Recovery if it is not installed yet and flash CM10 ROM by Booting into recovery environment.

Hope you have taken the backup of your stock ROM.
1.Flash the stock ROM.
2.Root
3.Use CWM and flash CM10
Make sure you clear the dalvik cache before flashing.

Actually I'm on deodexed ics version which is already rooted.
What should I do now? Install stock ics first & then root etc, or flash cm10 directly and then gapps in recovery mode?

In that case, install CWM Recovery. Flash CM10 and flash with gapps. Clear dalvik cache.

I am using CM10 from day 2 and it is buttery smooth and decent battery backup.

Ensure that you are on ICS at least before attempting to move to JB. This will ensure that the bootchain is updated.

Once that is done, just download the CM10 and GApps zip files and flash them from CWM.

Procedure : Format system, data partitions, clear cache and dalvik cache. Flash CM10 and GApps. Reboot.

6pack : CM10 by far best ROM for Burst IMO(I have tested SlimBean, and few more ROMs).

This Link contains detailed information on how to install CM10 and make sure you have ICS before flashing this.

Follow the steps, it is pretty straightforward and tada! you have awesome CM10 with you. Just keep it cool and be safe., don't do something that's not written which may create some issue.

I just upgraded to jb yesterday. Thanks. All the replies helped.

BTW, I notice there is no icon for E, 3G in this. I only get an R with bars in it. How do I find out that my phone is on 2G or 3G?
Also sdcard got mounted as sd1. The sdcard_ext folder has some three folders only. Any way to put link of sdcard1 inside the sdcard_ext folder so I can browse to it from PC suite?
