Partition shrink screwed Windows boot..

Hi,

I installed Windows 8 on a blank 1TB HDD 2 days ago (UEFI boot on GPT hdd, single 1TB partition). Once everything was setup I shrunk the partition to 100gb using EaseUS Partition Manager. This totally screwed up the Windows 8 bootloader. It refuses to boot into Win 8.

I have tries using the recovery tools from the installer, both automated and manual (bootrec.exe) but no luck. I manage to get my Windows 7 install to boot.

What can I do fix Windows 8? Would restoring the partition to its previous size help?

Very frustrated, this never happened to the previous fellow :)

so, were you able to resolve this issue?

i have exactly the same problem but i don't have windows 8 repair disk. i tried several other repair disks available on net but nothing worked. i guess i'll have to purchase the full installation disks of windows 8 as my machine had it pre-installed but no rescue disks.
