Laptops PATA/SATA to laptop?

A Zippy external USB case ..... costs around 1200/- ..... can handle both the PATA and the SATA HDDs.
 
Zippy external case with both SATA/PATA compatibility is expensive (comparitively) as mentioned above. Just the PATA external case costs around 500 bucks.

yeah but how good are those cheap cases??

Even zippys is not great, i have to RMA mine already(a entire batch was faulty afaik)
 
^ U cant have 'cheap' n 'quality' at the same time :P
U get what u pay for.. hehe..

been using a Zippy 2.5" enclosure for more than a year here.. works fine.

THAT is why I use Vantec cases ...

from wat i heard from big byte corp (they are the importers of zippy casing in chennai) that the PATA casing have lots of problem.
