I have a ~4 year old Yamaha gladiator with TN registration.
I want to use it with the TN number plate but after paying road tax in Karnataka (Company bears the cost for it.)

Browsing online I found that you need a RTO NOC only if you need to change the registration of your bike from TN to KA which I don't want to do.

There is conflicting info regarding the police NOC. Some say that you need a police NOC to pay road tax in KA and some say you don't.

Can someone you has recently paid road tax for a other state registered bike in Karnataka, please let me know the NOC that I should get to pay road tax for my bike in KA(So that I can use it here legally with any hassles)

Disclaimer: I am not from TN / KA.

have used TN bike inside KA

Major problem is KA cops stops at every nook & corner once they spot TN plate.
Just go to RTO & pay the road tax. (around 1500 Rs, depends on year of reg), If they ask more docs, grab some agent & finish it. NO NOC req until you want to change the registration.

I call it "Cauvery" love, there seem to be strange "attaraction" by KA police to all TN vehicles though same does not apply to TN. TN Cops are pretty good & never seen them stopping KA vehicles.

Its better you pay road tax as soon as possible coz you might end up paying fines at every road & amount will come to same as road tax.

Sharing of water from a river can have so many bad effects... Why this Cauvery (Kolaveri :P)

Thanks. Just checked the KA RTO site. I might have to cough up Rs.4125 for the road tax.
10% of 55k -> 5500 and since the vehicle is 4-5 yrs old about 75% of it i.e., Rs.4125.
I would probably have to pay it in the Indira nagar RTO office since I am in Brookefield. Can we pay road tax in the KR Puram office too? (Its nearer to my place)

Does anyone know whether RTO offices in Karnataka works on Saturdays?

Not sure if which RTO brookefield comes under. Each RTO will have areas., Do check on RTO site for areas on website. If your residential area doent come under that RTO then they will send u back.

Yes, You can pay on Saturdays. Time may be till noon only. I have paid, not sure if still same.
