i just opened a paypal account today. I was trying to link my debit card but it refused to accept. I even talked to the customer care services in the US. they said i ll have to talk to my bank about i cuz its the bank that it refusing my debit card link. Does any one have the same problem?
 
They don't accept Debit Cards, at least mine as accepted as well. I was able to confirm my account using CC. try if you have it.
 
guess you have to enter the 4digit pin to link it & in this process they charge 1.95usd to verify the card & after the verification they remit it back to your paypal account.
 
i tried everything..but it just wont let me link my debit card. by the way..what do i need to get a credit card. I am still a student.
 
try hdfc netsafe card of value Rs.100 which would be roughly $1.95 u will get $1.95 in ur paypal a/c after verification
oh but do you PAN card bcoz new a/c in payapl has mandatory PAN card no to be given..

even if you dont verify ur a/c it can be used till $100 limit
 
yeah.. i even entered my pan card no..m stuck at only the part where my debit card is not accepted. and i cant even add funds to my account.
 
Paypal des not accept Indian debit cards, try a netsafe card (Virtual debit card from HDFC abnk, i have heard ppl verifying a/c via them)
 
btw AFAIK, adding funds in paypal via Indian bank not possible although vice-versa is possible, i might be wrong since i never linked my bank a/c & paypal anyway.

I had used VCC to verify my a/c but nowadays paypal is banning/limiting a/c verified by VCC so get updtes on that
 
Debit Cards don't work... tried everything on my part. It just doesn't work. Just withdraw cash using the cheque. Mine arrived in 10 days.
 
yeah dude..but i need to make a payment using paypal. would be glad if someone from this forum help me in it.

In India they don't offer adding funds from credit/ debit card. At the time of transaction payment will be directly debited from the paypal verified account with currency conversion charges, if any.
 
ok. now i see the clear picture.is there anyone who can make a payment for me and then i pay back using NEFT? please PM me
 
For me, the transactions got charged on my credit card which was linked to my account. That works fine for me. And yeah, electronic withdrawals are stopped as of now. We will get our payment by cheque.
