Paypal Transfer Issue

Hi,

I want to receive some money through PayPal. The person is residing abroad. Everytime he tries to transfer he gets a message "Currently we are not able to complete personal payments to account holders in India at this time".

Any other alternatives can anyone suggest?.

Currently Personel payments are stopped in India. so ask sender to Select "Services" and then it would allow you to send money.

Yes, you've to select "Services" to send money to India. You'll lose 3-4% as charges though.

If the person is in US, you can try xoom.com, it has very low fees if money is transferred from a US bank account.

or u can just make a new uk paypal account.

Just use Xoom and use coupon codes to waive off the transfer fee charges. I remember using codes like "BACK2XOOM", "XOOMONETIMER", "2010TRANSFER", "TRYXOOM" and "webxoomremit". Dont know whether these will work, but you can always google to find them.
