Surely is interesting... But I see a long time b4 the Indian Gaming industry really takes off...

If given a job offer, thousands of Indians would like to be 'Game Testers' but only a handful would like to be 'Game Developers/Programmers'...

Lolzzz :P

^^heh heh

me to wanna be "game tester"

who doesn't wanna be paid for doing something they love?

You clearly think it is all fun and games, do you? :P

You have to play buggy and unfinished games which can crash at any given time and you are expected to debug and share info wrt how the game crashed, etc. Sometimes you only get to play certain sectors in games to prevent you from leaking parts of the game and they often ask you to do unreasonable things like walking to edges of maps, shooting at random objects, walk in objects/models/figures etc just to TRY out the game environment.

When you do get to play the real game after it is released .... the entire experience is spoilt. Still want to become a game tester? :P

Hell Yeah. I mean why not?:S Easy money is all we need.
Well, it isn't easy money afterall... I would hate it if my paycheque is a result of me banging into walls in GTA4 or crashing my car and losing races in NFS...

Lolzzz :P

Oh no testing is reallly Efffinnnn hard especially the part where you have to write the reports unless you have a passion for getting good games out it will be really hard it aint no cake walk thats for sure

They are looking for c++ developers recently. they were one of the top matches that naukri.com sent me. I usually

prefer small product oriented companies over large IT services companies, but with hardly 20 people on board, I did't think it was worth trying out.

Would've tried out if they had a demo. Apparently, they had a closed beta going on. Never heard of it back then.

We did reverse outsourcing. Vinnie recruited three game devs from the West, each having a lot of prior game dev experience.

This is specially good for training talent in India. Having experienced people over from the West definitely helps foster a good dev team.

Definitely a long way to go however its a good start.

Interesting read. Might pick it up if it comes down to $5. 16v16 strategy is not something you would find everyday.
