LOL !!! :hap2:

I have not played any games till date since 5 years..

I used to play when i was in 8th and 9th.

And about cash for Gfx card.

I earn 5k a Month from my Blog.

3 Months of savings will get me a top of the line card.

But i have better things to spend my money on, not a GFX Card or Computer Accessories.

Sorry i ain't playing computer games, i play real games ;) !! And i mean it.

cool guide.all questions are answer in one page .... :)....

But your home theatre config is , I think its partially wrong. why didnt you considered a 5.1 home theatre sound system ??. DVD movies do need 5.1 surround sound for a home theatre effect . Also sound card with dolby digital chip on it would be awesome in such config.

UR suggestions r welcome.

:)

Zebronics Pro Cube mATX

^^ Can you specify the price of this cabinet?

Hauppage PVR 150

^^ Can you specify the cost?

Also I am able to source graphic card from US. Which graphic card to go for? 8600 GTS, HD3850, HD 3650, 8600 GT with DDR3?

Now I havent kept up with all the cards of late. I am running 8800 GT on my main system and this is going to be my secondary rig. I plan to make it a generic all rounder with decent horse power. So am looking for occasional gaming and movies mainly. Tell me which is the most VFM. Or recommend another card from Newegg hopefully around or below $100.

While at it, if anyone can recommend if its better to source the mobo from US? Thanks for the reply.

I am thinking based on my requirements an AMD rig is suited. For apps that need more processing I will use my main rig.

Tentavitly this is what I am thinking:

1) AMD CPU: 3k (which one?)
2) AMD Motherboard: 3.5k or 80 Dollar Newegg ( No onboard GPU but OC preffered) Please Recommend
3) 8600GTS or equilant: 80 Dollar Please Recommend
4) 2*1GB Memory from Newegg: 45 Dollars (800 Mhz, 4-4-4-12)
5) Cabbie + PSU: 2k Please Recommend
6) Logitech MX 3000 (Whats the INR cost, it would cost me 70USD but difficult to source due to size)

Please advise if I should go for intel setup with 7200? I am not short on cash, but this being secondary rig and I only playing 2 games, GTR2 and Race07, find it difficult to justify running high end pc's 24/7.

So a good mid fielder will do. For my Cisco VMWare stuff I plan on using my main rig. Thanks again for your responses. Please respond so that I dont have to open a new thread....

Hi Nice guide,

But i have a configuration which I need price list of .
can anybody tell me the price list of below configuration

Motherboard: Abit or intel (under 10,000)
Monitor: Dell SP2208WFP
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX
HDD: 500 GB
Cabinet: (should have price less than 4000)
UPS 600 VA
Wireless Keyboard/mouse
SMPS 500 W
External Tv tuner card
5.1 speaker

Please somebody tell me a rough estimate of the make and prices

^^ Depends on budget. You need a good soundcard for such a high end PC. Speakers AE 2.0 or Logitech Z5500 depending on whether you watch more movies or listent o more music, and of course the budget.
For wireless keyboard and mouse, I am using MX5000 bluetooth keyboard and mouse from Logitech. The keyboard is good but the mouse is average in this bundle. Good for normal use but definitely not for gaming. Mobo I suggest Abit IP35E for 5k great overclocker. Through in an Arctic Freezer Pro and you can easily clock past 3GHZ on most intel processors in the market.

how much is q6600 now is it worth from upgrading e6750 that i am using right now. so should i stick to it.

The Q6600 should be just a shade under 10k.

A quad-core obviously packs in more horsepower than a dual-core. Whether you should upgrade to it, depends on the kind of apps you run and whether they scale well with multiple cores.

but whichever game needs more proccy power that will be optimised for 4 core..that is going to happen...atleast i believe..:P

When ?? After 6-8 months ?? that time Nehalem will be mainstream, and 40% faster than current Yorkfields. So dont plan too far, buy best in todays date, nothing favours Quad except Unreal engine right now. Currently any CORE architecture CPU @ 3.2 or above aint any bottlenecck for any single GPU solution.
