PC Peripherals PC Buying Guide May-June 08

Anybody there who can help me with a 35K pc. No LCD required at the moment. I would be going with Samsung 17" CRT, would get a LCD by Jan. PC would be used for casual gaming mostly RPG's and RTS.

Budget is strictly 35K can't be increased at all..

Any help would be good at the minute

Well, you could use most of the components from the 45k pc, as you are not spending on a monitor now. Anyway here goes-

Motherboard: Abit IP35-E 5.4k

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 5.8k

RAM: Transcend 2X1GB DDR2 800MHz 2k

HDD: Western Digital 640GB SATAII 4.6k

Cabinet: Cooler Master Elite 334 ATX 1.7k

SMPS: Corsair VX450 3.7k

Optical Drive: L.G. H62N 20x IDE / Samsung 203B/D 20x SATA 1.2k

Keyboard: Logitech Multimedia .5k

Mouse: Logitech MX518 1.3k

GPU: Palit Sonic 9600GSO 384MB GDDR3 6.3k

Speakers: Creative Inspire 2.1 M2600 1.8k

All this stuff totals to Rs.34.3k

You could obviously mix and match and try to push in a faster graphics card by cutting down on the mouse, HDD etc :)

Excellent work there mate. Needed to check some config n prices for a friend of mine and this was the most precise answer.

Reps for you, making my job so easy ;)

No AMD configs...

Feels AMD can add to price performance ratio...

In fact I trying to fix an AMD rig in 12-13K (without monitor). Can some one give suggestions....

Well I guess these configs are keeping OC'ers in mind. For those who want AMD they cam pickup and AMD X2 5000+ and a 780G or 690G motherboard.

Congrats, a very capable machine! enjoy :)

Please suggest a rig in 10-12K (without monitor). Please also suggest what would be better, an AMD X2 4800 or intel E2180? I've heard that if you are not in to overclocking, AMD is better, and AMD motherboards are also better VFM.
