heya guys ! need to buy a new pc for programming and good gaming...pls suggest a good config up to 50k - only intel c2d base with 8600gts card or .......

Here is what i suggest

Processor: E6750
Rs 7,900

Motherboard: Abit IP35-E
Rs 6,100

Graphics card: 8800GT OC Edition
Rs 14,500

Memory: GSkill 2X1GB 800Mhz DDR2
Rs 3,400

DVD RW: Lite-On 20X Sata

Power Supply: CM 600W Extreme Power

Monitor: Viewsonic 19" VX1935WM
Price: no idea. VX1945WM is available for 12K so it should cost less than that at around 10.5. 45 has iPod dock and speaker etc so if you want them you can also get VX1945WM.

Add a nice keyboard+mouse and you are ready to go. I know its a few thousands more than you budget but it will provide you a good gaming experience. If you want to cut down on budget, get 3850 from ATI instead of 8800GT. It will save you at least 4K.

morgoth's given a good config....try to put in that little bit extra and get a quad (if u can)

secondly i recommend not going for Viewsonic cause their RMA is realy pathetic...try getting a Dell....good pic quality ...excelent rma....good build quality....and vfm

Only go for a dell LCD.Viewsonic's after sales $uck.

A vfm cabby like CM690 will add to the rig's beauty.

nice config's for me there :D !! speaker's i already have ..need a sound card with optical port and 500gb HDD...and a 22" incher from dell....think need to cut on GFX Card...what do you guys suggest ?

^^well...everthing seems fine xcept that p5nesli board u wna go with..

its a 650i sli chipset board..

its kinda choosy on memory modules..

And at this time if u re getting a new pc there is no reason why u shud'nt go with a p35 chipset board.

good choices for p35 being:

Biostar tp35

MSI p35 neo​

And please dont buy that microsoft keyboard mice combo ....i hv d same....n it $ucks!:@

the mouse has always sme issues ...n the keys on keyboard feel like a typewriter's keys...definately not worth the money.

Instead go with logitech ultra slim keyboard or navigator keyboard.

Any normal optical mouse from logitech will do...depending on what ur left with.

and u dont need to mobo with a inbuilt DVI coz ur already getting a graphic card which does have it.

I'd second morgoth's posts.. He's given some good quotes.. Cant add anythin more... Get an aBit IP35 E... Best bang fer the buck.. :)
 
And instead of gettin a single 500GB HDD, Y dun u get 2 250 ones n put 'em in RAID 0.. U'll be blown with the transfer speeds...

And if u want performance outta d same budget. cut on the cabinet costs and d extra HDD cooler cost... U can later do tat but a good investment in d gfx dept ensures u can play good ones now!! :)

Ok if this is what you want to go with:

Sapphire 2600XT GDDR3 @ Rs 6.6K. With Rs 500 more you can get GDDR4 so you may also consider that. With HDCP and HDMI support, this card is great for HTPC comps.

The card will also let you play games at 1024X768 res with all eye candy turned on.

Processor: E6750 at Rs 8K

Mobo: Abit IP-35-E 6K. Why go for a SLI mobo when you don't plan to use this feature?

No need to get a sound card as nowadays mobos have quite good onboard sound system.

Now i know it is 3K off your budget. but i suggest you go with this config. It is not advisable to cut down on Processor, mobo, gfx card and PSU as they are four most important components in a PC. Instead get CM Elite cabinet at around 2.2K. Forget HDD cooler for now and put it after a month or so when you have some money to spare. Also get a 320GB HDD now and put another one after a couple of months.

This will allow you to go with the said processor, mobo and gfx card

3 inches would definitely make a difference while watching movies.

My 2 cents : Don't compromise on the monitor. Get the best you can afford coz one doesn't upgrade em frequently.

:) Yes there is a huge diff between 19 inch and 22 inch...
Unfortunately 10k is somewhere in between...if you can somehow squeeze in 4k more you get the 8800gt 512MB...Best bang for buck and very good perf :) Else the 2600 xt as someone mentioned for around 6k(I think)..the rest of your choices are fine :hap2:
 
where can i get a dell 22" ? and is there any difference 2600 xt and 8800gt 512MB for a moderate gamer as me..wont play game's more than 4hrs. a day :) thinkin to get sapphire ? 2600 xt with a q6600 :)

and is 2600 xt better than 8600gt ?
 
4hrs of gaming is not moderate. Also if you are going with a 22" monitor it's better to get 8800GT.
