IMO this is what u need:)

Processor: E6750 - 8000
Motherboard: ABIT IP35-E - 6000
PSU - Corsair VX450 for 4,000/
Logitech keyboard and mouse - 600
HDD - Seagate 320gb SATA II - 3600
RAM - 2 x 1GB Trancend 800 MHz - 2100
Cabinet - COOLER MASTER Elite 330 - 2200 or cm 690 @4k
for gfx card get 8800GT, 'thebanik' here has bought a xfx 8800gt from SMC....search this forum for his posts

for monitor get dell 22" E228WFP
it can be negotiated for 14.5k with 3 yrs warranty inc. tax & delivery or
15.5k with 5 yrs warranty inc. tax & delivery
u can only get it from here: www.dell.co.in

if u want some more insanity added to ur pc then put 2 250gb sata2 in raid 0..

For the DELL monitors are you planning on getting an Ultrasharp or one of the "normal" ones?
Does anyone here have a DELL ultrasharp and if so is it worth the extra money?

^^ First it is more expensive and second from only a gaming perspective most of the games might not show any improvement from a dual core to a quad core :)

@ charsi u require quad for rendering purpose only programing calculations can be easily be done on dual cores. Programing of JAVA or C language is enuf with dual cores if ur really hardcore in the D3D programing ya a quad core is suggested but the same work is done on dual cores with a decent time.

also going for the higher end ram is not suggested if you don't plan to OC your system it just waste of resources. a transcend 800mhz ram is sufficient for all i know.

about the graphic card pick up a 8600GT (galaxy or gigabyte) both perform good. no problems with anything. really if u dont play much games stick to an 8600GT. and ya if u plan to watch movies on your system conected to the TV a definate ATI card is recommended if you can pick up the HD 3850 or 3870.

also investing on a huge HDD is i feel no point since you do programing no files or SDKs go more than 1 or 2 gb. things like eclipse or python take around 700 to 900 mb of space considering the emulators are installed along with them.

power supply is all upto you, i personally like the Seventeam 500W over corsair and coolermaster.

also pick up a decent cabby the elite 330 is decent enuf no problem with it and as far as mobo is concerned pick up the Abit mobo over biostar since the PCB layer is pretty thin :P

thanks !!

u'de rather pick up the 256mb card its DDR3 where as the 512mb are all DDR2
also dont invest that much on the cabinet an elite 330 is sufficient and use that cash for a good Powersupply

@ Charsi, just don't go for 8600GT DDR2. In fact when you are getting a 22'' monitor try to stretch your budget and get a 8800GT. If not, at least get a 8600GT DDR3. XFX 8600GT DDR3 is selling for around 5.6K. Don't go for any DDR2 cards.
Also IMO get CM Elite 330 instead of CM 690.

okkk guys..thank u all ....i still have about 6k left..

Moderate Gamer :) = gfx card shd be able to all current + upcoming games at the monitor's max res. .and one more thing does that mobo or the abit ip35-e has dvi/hdmi/spdif ? if not then i need one with those :)

thanks again folks :)

no chance of that with the gfx u have selected..i still suggest u cut down on something else and go for the 8800gt card...since when it comes to gaming u can cut back on the other stuff except the GFX

dont settle for anything less than the 8800GT 512MB...with the money u are investing and the other hardware u are getting ....the 8600 GT just does not do justice....u mentioned u have 6k left...
Step1>add another 1.5k to it that makes it 7.5k left....
Step2>dont get the 8600GT....so that 6k gets added to the 7.5k
Step3>Toal remaining =13.5k==cost of 8800GT
Step4>Don't blink or get caught in two minds.....if u have the mooolah .....no card 2day beats the 88GT 512 as a VFM card

yeah !! can i get the viewsonic 22" instead of dell within ~15k ? and what else to cut down to get 8800gt 512mb ? proccy ? E6550 hmm ?

definitely get the 6550 and save urself a grand...get the gigabyte fsp smps its 1.5k cheaper than the corsair and is more than enough if u dont plan to oc...

Add these six to your GPU budget, cut down on webcam by 1K, add a few hundred or a thousand more and get a 8800GT. :hap2:
