If u want a DVD writer and speaker then u will cost u a bit more. So u can accommodate in ur +1k budget.

Good config Darkangel.

If you can increase your budget to Rs.2,000~2,500/-

DVD Writer: Sony AD-7240S-ZR Rs.1,200/-

Speakers : iBall Tarang 2.1 Rs.1,250/- which actually is a very good speaker set.

thanks for the suggestion , what are the other mobo i can try, without onboard gfx , can buy second hand gfx

actually mobos w/o GFX are costly. So this the best u can get in the <2.5k range. If u are getting a GPU then get a decent power supply like the FSP SAGAII 350w ~ 1.5k or 400w ~ 1.9k.

If u are putting above 1k in the dvd writer, then definately go for the ASUS brand.... the sony ones here in mumbai are turning out bad these days...... source (prime abgb) asus dvd r/w = 1050/-

^^

Yeah but it would be better if you got yourself an AMD Athlon IIx3 440 ~ 3.3K then more cores means more value :)
