OK people two configuration gonna buy tomorrow help me decide which one...

Its Intel Vs AMD back to the good old days i guess

Intel Configuration:

Intel Q8200 9k

MSI NEo-FR3 or Asus P5Q Intel P45 chipset 1600 FSB 8.3k

MSI 4850 8.9k

Transcend 4GB 2.2k

Zebby Antibiotic 2k

Corsair 450VX 4k

Total 34k

AMD Configuration:

AMD Phenom II 920 - 11.8k

Bio-star 790GX -4.2k or Gigabyte GA-MA78GPM-DS2H AMD 780G + SB700 Chip set - 6.3k

Transcend 4GB 800mhz - 2.2k

Zebby Antibiotic -2k

Corsair 450VX -4k

MSI 4850 - 8.9k

Total -33k
 
Stay away from the MSI board for the Intel system. Stick to Asus/Gigabyte.

Again, you would be better of getting a Q6600 instead of a Q8200.

And finally, get the Zeb Bijli if you wanna go cheaper. If you are intent on spending 2k, then you would be better off getting a CM Elite case for around as much.

Also, HD4850's are available on TE'd Dealers Paradise section for as low as 8.5k.

Intel doesn't have future upgrade path...:huh:
Its going to get LGA 1366 or LGA 1156 and what not ...changing sockets all the time..Phenom II Q3 there is one clocked at 3.9ghz Stock...:hap2:
So just wondering ....
 
i wud suggest q6600 or q9400

even if you get amd right now, you will need to go for intel once core i7 becomes mainstream.

besides, q6600 oc should beat a phenom II

4gb 800mhz Transcend P series

CM 690

Cooler master 600w

500GB 32mb HDD

and yeah SB750 with ACC ...planning to do benchies soon

I remember appo/darky recommending people to stay away from the low end P45s.. build quality and bios issues.. afair that is.

and i've been spreading his word ever since :P

33k was the damages..no worries...it is amazingly fast...the shop was filled with people wanting to take sneak peak of this beauty ...the shop owner was also personally wanting to make sure everything was ok...dont if it was the first there...but got a lot of attention...i was loving..it..i had 7year old P4 ...gonna get a GPU after ATI RV refresh and complete the Dragon...
