Thanks for the config. Can you suggest some diff motherboard. Also can you give me some AMD option too.

AMD Phenom II X4 955- Rs. 6.5k

If you dont want 4 RAM slots then MSI H67MA-E35 ~ 5.5k or Asus P8H67LE ~ 6k-6.5k are good alternatives. Else if from Intel then the DH67CL ~ 6.2k.
Look out for B3 or Rev 3 monikers on these mobos.

For AMD since your budget can accomodate the PhenomII X6 1055T~8.3k, go for it.
For the mobo consider the Asus M4A88T M/USB3 ~ 5.7k or Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H ~ 4k. If Gigabyte 880GA-UD3H~5.5k is avaiable then go for it (Very hard to find)

@Dark Angel. I am thinking of going for 8gb ram so i think 4 slot will help. Also what performance diff will i get in between Phenom X6 and X4.

Both are same architecture. So 6 cores will come in handy during heavy multitasking. Else if you have the option wait for AMD Bulldozer which will be released in another 2 months before upgrading the rig.

I can't wait that long. Also my 80% requirement will be photoshop, flash, and 20% gaming. So confused to go for intel or AMD. Also i will not be upgrading the pc for the next 3-4 years.

Intel seems a good option now, but only confused on the mother board part which will support 8gb. Also where will i get the i5 2500 for 10.3k in mumbai.

You can contact prime abgb...
And i would advice you to go with i5 2500 rig too... Coz i5 2500 outperforms 1055t in almost every benchmark and consumes less power too as compared to 1055t... And btw current Am3 platform is on the verge of getting discontinued so it would be better if you would build an SB Based rig...

Here is my final config

Proccy - Intel Core i5 2500 - 10.3k

Mobo - ?????????????????

RAM - 2*CORSAIR XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) RAM - 5.7k

GPU - Sapphire HD5770 1GB GDDR5 ~ 7.5k

SMPS - Corsair VX 450 - 3.4k

Cabinet - NZXT Gamma ~ 2.2k

Any mobo suggestion guys ????

4GB RAM would be more than enough for your usage... And buy Asus P8H67 M LE ~ 6.5k comes with usb3 + sata3

@op

The mobo that DA has suggested is listed on primeabgb's site and they are selling it for 8k.. It's a great board grab it... And if you are good at bargaining then do ask for Rs.300-500 discount coz smc is selling this board for 7500 :)

^^ they must have told you the price of i5 2500k... i5 2500 is selling for 10250... You can also buy this proccy online from smc if Mumbai dealers are selling this proccy at higher price...

Any idea what advantage does the intel motherboard Intel DH67CL LGA 1155 has over the Gigabyte mentioned by dark angel. Also do i need any cooler for the pc since in will be keeping it in an enclosed cabinet.

That board is just a basic board... Buy the board that DA has suggested plus gigabyte has great A.S.S in India... And no you really don't require an aftermarket cooler as sandy bridge processors run very cool...

What advantage does intel H67cl has over Gigabyte H67MA-UD2H? Well you should have asked me that what advantage does the gigabyte board have over that intel board... :P

Well the gigabyte board that DA has suggested has features like ultra durable 3, sata6, USB 3 and all solid caps... and the gigabyte board has overall better build quality...
