Hi
I am planning to buy a gamepad for Windows based PC tomorrow morning
which one of the mentioned 2 is better and why ?

a) Xbox 360 controller for PC
2) Logitech Rumblepad 2

shud I go wired or wireless ?

Microsoft Xbox 360 for maximum native compatibility in games and overall quality. Infact I have the Logitech Dual Action (the non rumblepad version) and ironically I have to use Xbox360 controller emulators to get it to work with some games.

Wireless gamepads aren't really worth the premium unless you have a large ass screen. That way sitting back would be a more comfortable experience.

yeah the Xbox360 works flawlessly on PC.

and ergonomically i am yet to find a better controller!

...also the controller's rumble is the best!

But in many reviews I had gone thru, it rates Logitech RumblePad 2 higher than Xbox 360 controller.

The only shortcoming of Logitech one is mentioned about compatibility i.e. emulators to be used as already mentioned by "RD274".

But it says that ergonomically, and also with rumble(vibration) point of view, Rumblepad 2 is above Xbox controller.

May be don't get to test both of these when I have to buy it.

Any body there who has used both, has experience of both?
