The month of February saw quite a few titles released across all major platforms, namely PC, PS3 and X360. From the 3rd installment of the Dead Space and Crysis series to the reboot of Tomb Raider, here's a guide to get you going (and buying as well).
1. Crysis 3
Crysis 3 is the 3rd installment in the Crysis series by Crytek, the unparalleled benchmark in PC graphics and the game which brought our high end PCs down on their knees for years on. Crysis in 2007 was a revolution, followed by Crysis Warhead a year later. What came after (Crysis 2) was an utter disappointment. A standard console corridor shooter had it's plus points too, namely good performance on the PCs. Granted Crysis 2 was never the benchmark of choice, Crytek aims to do different with Crysis 3, and might I say they did.

2. Dead Space 3
Dead Space 3 is the 3rd installment in the popular horror survival FPS by Visceral Studios. Back in 2007, Dead Space set a new definition in the horror fps genre with it's original new IP, and since then we've been hooked to the series. Dead Space 3 tries to redefine itself by moving away from it's original 2 titles style and moving towards a more action oriented FPS type game. After all, there is only that many times you jump to a crawling monster (or maybe not!). Here's one thing however, Dead Space 3 for PC is a console port. Nothing fancy here, but thankfully nothing broken too.

3. Tomb Raider
A reboot of the old (and favorite) Tomb Raider series, Tomb Raider in 2013 aims to bring us the Tomb Raider experience with all the latest technology available (including AMD's brilliant new Triss Hair rendering technology). Developer Crystal Dynamics has tried to reboot the series with an installment which is sort of a prequel. In this game, you learn how Tomb Raider came into existence (the making of Tomb Raider aka Lara Croft, our protagonist).
Here's something you must look out for in case you're planning on playing this game. As Eurogamer writes,
The first hour of play is pretty depressing. It's also embarrassing, unless you have thick walls or neighbours who will regard the noise as adding ambience to the violent pornographic film they're making. When Lara's not screaming, shrieking, panting or squealing, she's busy getting chased, groped and tied up. When she dies, it's with the kind of orgasmic groan that would make Ben Dover demand another take that's less over-the-top.

Part nature preserve, part oilrig, this is the environment that Prophet and his Nanosuit are dropped back into after being freed from Cell captivity.
