PC Monitor not started

Finally, called technician y'day, said that Microsoft not allow to continue Vista as its legit copy of my company laptop-Dell!!
Its illegal to use Dell DVD-legit version on home PC & Microsoft may initiate action, he added.
Wondering how this!:dead:
I told him to install win 7. Should I add anything to convey technician.
 
Installed- win 7 & apps by technician..
RealTek sound system card currupted before a month ago, same is removed and it replaced with T-link PCI Sound card. This sucks compare to RealTek sound quality. New card-TLink could not run 5.1 surround sound to Creative-520 5.1 speaker system connect with PC.
Feel like degrade the sound system of PC. Any chance for RealTek or incredible 5.1 sound sytem apps?
Also, net browing speed seems a bit slow compare to previous vista business. Can it be improved?
The web page is loading slowly with unloading some of images. Here on TE also, I could not insert smileys! It automatically goes to top first corner word!!
 
Model name/no. of the TP-Link pci sound card ??

The issues you are facing with browser and net may not be associated with the OS I think .. anyway, you can try a different browser other than IE and install plugins like flash player, java runtime, silverlight etc.

Wondering IE8 has less speed than IE6 used before with Vista?

Also, hands free on WinAmp & settled with available sound mode like-Rock, Default etc..
WinAmp skin is very irritating with clumpsy interface. Any idea to change simple & handy skin to change it.

try IE10 and KMPlayer for browsing and audio. As for the sound card look at the chip on the pci card - only there you can find the chip id the sound card is using.
 
Already have VLC, Windows & WinAmp players. Can't we set various sound on it?

Also, there is no CC Cleaner - any clean up software installed by him saying that its not required

Installed IE8, Win7 & Mozilla is from crashed version. Can't I upgrade to IE10 or Win8 from Microsoft site? If not then from where i can download it free?

that's may be just a temporary server error you've faced - make sure to clean browsing history, cookies, cache, temp files of browser and there's no 3rd party extension or addon installed. Check your pc for virus, malwares.

For audo I don's have much experience with winamp but you can try AIMP though which is very good IMO. for IE10 you can download a offline installer from here:

just choose the correct language and OS version and you're done ;)

so IE10+win7 is effective combo, as u said, right buddy but the present win 7, IE8 all are crashed version (not original). Should I upgrade IE10 from Microsoft site directly. Does it not land in any legality issue?

I am fed up as even not able to download simple application (Adblocks, CC Cleaner etc). Also neither open GMail a/c nor insert smilies even here!
 
this may be issue with your ISP so check with them .. anyway, win 7 SP1+IE10 is good for browsing and you can download and install IE10 from MS despite of what kind of win 7 version you have [ I think you know what I meant ] ;)

BTW, try downloading win 7 trial version from MS if you believe the source of issue is with your OS and the place you've obtained it from.

On a quicker notes,
(1) Anything like AdBlock(Chrom) for Mozilla & IE, as I'm using all 3 browser multipurposely ;). The default is Chrom using by all members
(2) Fast, no..no., superfast & safe downloader for songs, stuff, file etc etc (3) application/tool which constantly check my PC health & indicates on Desktop like Clock..

for add blocking in FF try adblock plus.

for file downloader try eagle get or free download manager.

There's lots of apps which shows pc's health status or that sort of info but they only slow the pc down.

So better use ccleaner once in a week, defrag hdd twice a year, check hdd and ram for errors once in a year. install updated driver/firmware for hardwares only if needed. Always use updated version of security app, don't just install any apps, install softwares from trusted sources only, keep your os updated and if you need to test/visit malicious site or app do it through virtualvox like app - if possible install linux in dual boot mode.

These all should keep your pc experience nice and cool from software side.
 
yes it's virtual box and for Linux try with a bootable cd version of knoppix first - if you like it we can talk about installing Linux later in dual boot mode.
