PC not getting full download speed

I have a Buffalo WHR-HP-G300n with DD-WRT. Everything was working fine. But since yesterday, the download speed on my PC is limited. I only get a max of around 800kb/s. Earlier, I used to get up to 5.3mb/s, but now, it won't go above 800-850. But all the wireless devices connected to the router like laptops and phones are getting speed up to 5.3mb/s. Its with the PC that I have the problem. I even tried connecting the cable directly to the PC, still have the issue. So I need to fiddle with settings in my PC. What should be done?

Check the Cable , Also check the LAN Properties. Speed and Duplex Settings.

I replaced the cable. How do I check the duplex thing [emoji14]

Go to Control Panel > Device manager > Right click on Network Adapter Properties > Advanced > Drop Down Menu > LINK AND DUPLEX > Set to AUTO.

@cisco_tech Just a question. How did it change from 100mbps to 10mbps on its own?

It should not happened on its own. You might have fiddled the setting. Other than that old lan cable might not be supporting full duplex speed so adapter might have set it on its own. but still it should not set to 10Mbps on its own.
