Graphic Cards PC randomly black screens during gaming

From mid December, my PC is randomly going to a black screen while gaming. I need to forcefully shut it down and start it back up again.
The GPU LEDs go off, fan speed reduces quite a bit and the game sound gets stuck, but still playing.

Here are the PC specs-
Ryzen 7 5800x3D
32GB DDR 3600MHz C18 RAM (Corsair Vengeance)
Asus B550i Strix motherboard
CM V850 Gold SFX PSU (new revision)
GeForce RTX3080 / Radeon 7900XTX

Initially it started with my RTX3080, I found that the 2x 8pin to 12 pin adapter had some damage. Swapped to my 7900XTX to test, but to no avail.
Temperatures are absolutely fine as well. There's not much in event viewer.

Have tried OS reinstall, DDU+driver reinstall, clearing CMOS, swapping to a different SSD, etc. Using latest drivers as well.
Removed all undervolts/overclocks and even XMP, but it still occurs.

Any ideas as to what it could be? I'm considering the PSU to be the likeliest culprit.
 
LMAO, i faced similar problems, like the PC will be on, but the Monitor went blank, so i first checked my monitor with a spare PC, and negated the problem is not with the Monitor, then i went for the PORTS in the CARD, could have got burnt, hence i used alternate port available in the CARD, still my monitor went blank, so i found that the PROBLEM is with the GPU, but the strange thing is the CPU doesnt bunk, it was running fine, it confused my problem isolating capabilities, so one fine day i DEDUCED THE PROBLEM could be with SMPS or PSU, but i cant bluntly prove that the PSU is buggy, coz the blank screen begins to happen randomly after 15 minutes of running, i took 2 days to isolate the problem, its not me who found the problem area though, something helped me in a spark of a moment as an EUREKA moment, as my PSU is a MODULAR model, so i looked for multiple modular socket for PCIe Power connector, so i used the alternate MODULE available for PCIE power supply connector, and switched to the adjacent socket available. TADA, the problem disappeared after sucha change of socket, it was strange for me too, THUS I FOUND OUT the MODULAR pcie power supply SOCKET is gone burnt KAPUT after 5 years 9 months of usage, fortunately MODULAR PSUs have multiple PCIE Powersupply sockets as a boon helped me to resolve the problem... Hope this solution helps you, otherwise go for the headache RMA process.... and get a new psu

The 8 pin pcie power cable and socket, damn. That makes sense, my 3080 FE 12 pin adapter was damaged and a faulty cable or socket would maybe explain that.

Will check it asap, thanks.

in my case, the cable is not faulty its the SOCKET, so i now cellotaped it to identify that the socket is nomore, Yeah, so u have to deduce the bug with the cable as well, in your case 3080FE might have demanded much power, so its possible both the cable and socket could have reached End of Life... its only a trial and error fault finding method, if this doesnt resolve, try it with a spare SMPS, if the problem doesnot appear , then u can pin point the problem is with the SMPS with certainity.

Took off the pcie cable, found this. Definitely signs of melting and excess heat.

Have to deal with Cooler Master support yet again, sigh.

It seems that your SFX PSU is ATX 3.0 one not the 3.1 version. If you now send it for RMA they will replace it ATX 3.1 I think.

What changes does ATX 3.1 bring?

All the most significant changes represented by ATX 3.1 exist in the introduction of the 12V-2x6 power connector, a new connector specification developed to replace ATX 3.0’s 12VHPWR connector which reportedly experienced some issues under heavy workloads with high-end graphics cards.

But first, let us clarify the naming:
• The older cable type used in ATX 3.0 is referred to as 12VHPWR, an abbreviation for 12 Volt High Power.
• The new cable type used in ATX 3.1 is named 12V-2x6, which stands for 12 Volt 2 rows of 6 pins.

Don't worry. CM has already upgraded the following PSU Series to support ATX 3.1. Your CM V850w Gold SFX & my CM MWE Bronze 750w ATX are there as shown in the image below:

If you still do get some other ATX 3.0 PSU then it will show that they gave a refurbished or old unit. Just tell them that you want new unit that supports ATX 3.1. Okay.

Bad Bad Very Bad, we buy premium brand PSUs for it may not fail for 10 Years, but if it fails before hand, i lose belief on any brand, hmmm, the RMA process, and their questionaire, and round trip prolongings to recognize your case and to replace it, its not cake walk, it actually disrupts the flow of life, anyway i use to have a SPARE SMPS for this situation to withstand the continuity of the PC Run, so now its a mandate to have 2 SMPS, one for heavy run and the other for standby usage... sigh
