My PC shuts down after some time if I start games and defragmentation or antivirus simultaneously or use factory format.

I have overclocked my PC to 3.4 ghz (AMd Quad core) and the temp are normally around 40-55 degrees

download something like a realtemp and log the cpu temps and graphics card temps while you do multitasking. probably something is overheating which causes the system shut down.

Hi Rohitshakti2,

I am glad to help you out. Based on your post, it may be a hardware issue. To confirm the possible reason, why PC is shutdown by itself. There are possible reasons like high temperature, MOBO, RAM, HDD or PSU causing the issue. I give you some basic troubleshooting steps. It may help you to solve the issue.

  • Remove the Overclocking.

  • Try to install Real-temp software. It will help to monitor the temperature of the system. If temperature is more than 40c, so I'd recommend you to add the cooling system.

  • Download HD-tunes or DLG software to check the HDD. If possible, try different HDD with same MOBO.

  • Try different RAM or MOBO to make sure that the problem is with the RAM or with the MOBO.

  • Try different PSU to make sure that the problem is with power or with hardware.

Hope it helps.
