PC suite for SE not installing

have purchased a Sonyericsson W950i frm ebay India (no warranty). the box did not contain the software CD /PC suite. I have downloaded both versions
1_5_8 & the 1.30.71 of PC suite. However, neither installs to my HDD. both start correctly with "Preparing to install... choose language options" but stop abruptly throwing up the Windows Installer box which shows the msiexec & various options. on clicking the OK button on the box, nothing happens.

My windows ver is XP pro. Have Googled for solutions, but zilch. Pl. help.
 
Instead of the SE suite, why dont you install something like MyPhoneExplorer which is freeware and is really good :hap2:

You will be able to back up your phone data, save sms's, install apps to your phone etc.
