PC Peripherals pc upgrade suggestion

hello folks
i want to buy a motherboard with on board nvidia 8 series graphic card so that i can use 9800gtx in hybrid sli

plz help me out in buying th gud motherboard n tell me th price n frm where i cud buy?

my config
amd athlon 64 x2 5600+
ram kingston 667 mhz ddr2 3 x 1gb
power supply corsair vx450

my earlier motehrboard unable to boot my pc wth 4gb ram of same config even if i m using vista 64 bit

so suggest me motherboard which can boot my pc wth 6gb ram of same config wthout any probs

p.s i heard ati radeon grpahic cards has so much driver problems wth catalyst,if i go for ati radeon 4850...n if i get bsod coz m nt gud @ fiddling wth pc...m bit sceptical over ati cards

hybrid sli is not worth any money

get a decent mobo save some money and get a good gfx

get one of the 780g boards from gigabyte (~4.5k)

and get the 4850

at the moment there are no driver issues wid d 4850 .. or any other 48xx series card ..
 
u posted u have 3x 1GB ram.

most of the boards wont boot wid that ram setup.

u can either use 2x config or 4x config.

do not unnecessarily invest in new mobo which mostly will fail to do the same.

Hybrid SLi wont justify the cost of mobo when u have 9800GTX.

he doesnt have it .. he is dilemma between 9800gtx & 4850
@op which mobo u have and run ram in dual channel mode;do u own 9800gtx??

n m upgrading my graphic card frm 8600gt

either i will buy 9800gtx or 4850 bt m confused regarding motherboards as my current motehrboard won't boot even @ 3gb ram

suggest me gud n reliable motherboard

p.s if i use 780g n use nvdia graphic on it, will there be any issue??
 
The problem isn't 3gb. You are using 3 modules of 1GB each. My asus m2N mx used to get f@#$ with that setup. The same could be the case with yours as well. Try modules of 2gb + 1gb, if you can.

the mobo u have is an old chipset but it is a good one amongst it

when u run 3x1gb ram either ur system wont boot, may get bsod,or computer may revert to single channel mode

try running ur ram in dual channel mode .. ie either use 2 ram sticks / 4 ram sticks .. ur mobo does support upto 8gb.

if u are not able to boot in dual chanel mode then check the ram slots for faults .. or try the sticks on an another comp

there wont be any issue if u use 780g with nvidia gfx on it
 
should i upgrade my motherboard or nt??

suggest me better motherboard which is stable wth ram n processor n does bit of overclocking wth no crashes n bsod..!!

gigabyte or msi or biostar.....suggest among these brands wth model...
