Ohk the other day even though my PC was turned off ,P5Q pro's Onboard Lan card got busted when it was raining and lightning like crazy in Mumbai ..thanks to local cable internet. :(

Even the PC was giving random restarts and boot problems. But the next day I did some cleaning and re-assembling and it's working fine since then (did prime test for 7-8 hours ,a mem test & 2-3 hrs crysis gaming :P) .

Long story short, I need a new PCI 10/100 lan card which has drivers for 64 bit windows 7 .I have already tried 2 Lan cards(Intex RTL8039C and 3com 905B) but couldn't find 64bit drivers for Windows 7.

Anyone using a PCI lan card on windows 7 /vista 64bit .. please suggest. :ashamed:

I think Realtek ones work out of the box, I'm using a Realtek RTL8169/8110 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (PHY: Realtek RTL8211/8212) on Windows 7 x64 without any problems

Be warned as there's a lot of fake realtek ones around (esp intex, zeb, techcom),you wont be able to find x64 drivers for them .

Buy one from a reputed manufacturer (like dlink etc).

I need reply from someone who is actually using a PCI lan card with 64bit vista/win7.

I have seen a dlink 520TX based on 10028A chip for 375 bucks but dont want to buy it without being sure if it wll work for me .

Anyone ?

no problem use buy Dlink Lan card... it has x64 drivers....

you know you can possibly get your Board replaced too... if its in warranty....
