PC Peripherals Pci to sata card suggestion

Well as i am short of sata slots i have no option but to buy this

PCI to SATA HDD adaptor CONVETER Card 3 Sata 1 IDE port | eBay

(my mobo have only 2 sata ports).I know most have 4 or 6.

Now i wanted to know is the stuff correctly price on ebay or i can get it for say 200 something from lammy.I dont visit there but as my friend too have some work and i might be paying visit there.

Also are there any more option like in some time even this 3 port device wont help i guess i might need atleast 5 ports.

Most of these pci to sata cards can be priced from 100 to 500 bucks.
Their reliability would be a big question though because these cards may or may not screw your hard disk.
Upgrading to a better motherboard seems a safe bet.
IMHO it is a risk which if it comes off you will be happy but if it doesn't you will lose data.

You have a nForce board? Anyways, upgrade the board & if under warranty, ask for a upgrade, they did mine for free last year at rashi. I also had 2 SATA ports only. My board was ASUS M2N68 AM SE2, upgraded to M2N68 AM PLUS.
