That 1TB and 2TB deals look tempting. But will it actually be "lifetime"? Does anyone have any experience with pCloud? Please share your opinions if any.

One drive gives 1 tb for around 800 for a whole year with family plan shared. Less than 10$. So why bother.

I've previously used Google Drive, but 1TB shared among members fills up fast. Is 1TB on one drive per person or shared among all?

My overall photos collection is getting bigger and bigger over the years. I was looking for a reliable cloud wherein I can store 1-2TB for years to come. I know "lifetime" could be bait an switch, hence I asked for opinions here. Any other alternatives?

Everyone should understand that "Lifetime" is lifetime of the company, not your lifetime. If company declares bankruptcy next year, your lifetime subscription ends there.

One Drive offers 1TB per person in family. So 6 people of family get 1TB each, 6TB in total.

Never buy lifetime anything from a company which hasn’t lasted a lifetime before.

I recommend One Drive. It is from MS. Is cost efficient and reliable.

We should remember lifetime validity offered by Airtel and others in the early 2000s. One of the bitter reminders of how lifetime anything is a grift.

Option 1 - Spend 10k , use Anmol service , get a Pixel1 from ebay , use synthing or rclone or any app you like to sync pics to Pixel1
or
Option 2 - Root your device , install Pixel Experience or Pixely module with magisk , get free UL Google Photo

Option 1 i gave as you have 1TB+ and god forbid if Google comes down heavily on these mods your account can be blacklisted / blocked /lost
And use same device and upload on 2 accounts if you want , BACKUP but on same service so not actually a backup

I have been following these deals for years. pCloud fingerprints every file and bans accounts if something turns up on the DMCA list. Wouldn't really bother unless you have large amounts of personal files to keep in cold storage as shared OneDrive is by far a better option in terms of sync.
