I want to buy a pedestal fan for summer to cut down AC usage. My room is 13'x10'. Should I buy 16'' or 18'' fans??Please give advice on what brand to buy.Are the fans with remote worth the extra money??I live in kolkata so max temperature around 37 with extremely high humidity
else get a bajaj - for max air flow ( noisy ), havell's for a mix of lower noise and lower airflow, and if you have the moolah, pick up the crompton greaves fans for good airflow and least noise!
No point buying pedestal fans from bajaj/havells/Crompton etc. as 90% of their models are of cheap build quality from china.
Instead look for REMI Fans. Made in heavy duty, high rpm models in India.
16" from Remi will be sufficient, though it will cost more than Bajaj/CG/etc. Should be around 2300 or below.
And a 400w single channel remote kit should cost u around 250 from local electronics market. It can be connected to any electrical product. But it won't regulate speed of the fan remotely.
